I read my horoscope for July a few weeks ago and it mentioned that there would be problems with appliances and other electrical type things. I don’t usually pay much attention to horoscopes but, man, this one was right on. We arrived home from a nice visit to the beautiful area of the Cote d’Azure, one of those places, like California, that has such great climate and abundant vegetation that you want to live there-at least until you try shopping in a grocery stores or drive in the really thick traffic. Anyway, we pulled up to our garage and when I pressed the button to open the garage doors, nothing happened. We went inside and we had no electricity and hadn’t had probably for two days. Everything in my freezer defrosted. I thought I had longer than two days before that happened. I had frozen raspberries in my freezer which became a bright red stream that made it out of the freezer into the grouting between my kitchen tiles. All of the meat wasn’t even cold but warm enough that I’m not sure if it is edible. I worry about food poisoning but Maurice thinks we should go ahead and eat it. The worst part, for me, was discovering that our high speed internet access was out. I am only on-line for a few minutes the old fashioned way before it kicks me off. DSL is so fast and I am so spoiled. Sigh.
I am posting some photos I took from our trip which you will see are mostly of windows. I love the windows around here. Hopefully, I will get them all up before I am thrown off the Internet.
Not real, but painted, fooling the eye.
I liked these leaves in the sun.
This tree was inside a courtyard of a chateau on top of the village of Cagnes. I took so many photos of it. It had an oriental look.
