Yes, another birthday has come and gone. I’m at the age now when I can’t get too excited that I am another year older. Since we just got back from Switzerland, I couldn’t ask for another trip somewhere as a gift so I picked out a place I have heard of for a birthday lunch in Cucuron called l’Horloge.

It wasn’t the best meal I have ever had but good and a very good value. Maurice and I drank a whole bottle of wine between us so a nap was also on the menu when we got back home.

There was a cheese course and, new to me, some confits such as onion which went really well with the cheese.
This little chef was in a window next to our restaurant. I think that next time I will go in and have a look at the confitures for sale.
