It’s hard to beat the Palas Royal for photos. I go there all of the time.

I was disappointed this time when I walked into the interior courtyard and found the conceptual art there surrounded by a wooden fence for work. They were kind enough, however, to put in windows covered with different colors of plastic. They gave some spectacular photos-like a Hawaiin sunset.

The garden there had these unusual sunflowers. I’ve seen fields of the same variety in Provence.

On the edge of life.

Love the silver balls in the fountain.

There is a lot to see walking around the area around the outside of the Louvre.

Hard to beat shots of the famous pyramid.

There used to be four fountains working, then none and now they have two working. I like them, but I like the smooth water more for photos.

Lots of metal fences around decorated with gold paint.

No, these dogs aren’t spoiled. Why do you ask?

There are always interesting things to see, do or eat on the Left Bank of Paris.

Fountains shining in the sun-this one in front of St Sulpice church. I did a little photoshoping on the photo.

A walk on the wet side. This little dog was walking in the same fountain.

A glass of wine and a plate of ham are hard to beat at da Rosa.

Followed by some really yummy ice cream at a new Italian ice cream place called Grom. The carmel ice cream with Himilayan salt was sooo good. There is something terrific about mixing sweet and salty tastes together. I love it. And there was a very nice guy to serve it.

I am crazy about Art Nouveau. Something about the flowing, curving lines, the plant motif, all of it together always pleases my eye. The 16th arrondissement is full of buildings done in this style. Here are a few closeups I saw the other day.

Some sort of cover for an air vent. Isn’t it lovely?

A window above a door.

The head of a lady wearing a fur stolle. This is on a most spectacular building on Avenue Rapp.

Another figure on the same building.
