Paris Potpourri

I’m back in Paris and was out and about yesterday and I have to say I even felt hot. There was sunshine and blue skies and the temperatures got up into the seventies. Hard to beat that. Here is a mix of a few photos I took yesterday.

That tunnel of trees that I love in Palais Royal.

That tunnel at the Louvre leading to the pyramid. My camera was set wrong and too much light is in the photo but I sort of like the result.

Up in Montmartre, an artist’s palette.

An artist at work.

And now I must start going through the apartment and start getting rid of things that I don’t want to move. Why is there so much of it? Read my blog post called Changes is you are wondering what I’m talking about. I am indeed moving to another apartment. Lots of work ahead.

  1. I love the photo with the trees, I have so many like that from Paris.. I went to Parc de Sceaux the other week, with my friends.. the trees were amazing..

I have to start posting about the trip, but been busy.. I am sorting stuff out at home too, but I am not moving, just had enough of it around me.

  2. That IS a nice effect on the Louvre photo. I especially like the tiny people bathed in light – they look almost like aliens or people on their way “into the light”

  3. I love your shot of the trees. How I would love to sit under them and just let time go on for a bit. The palette shot is full of creativity.

  4. Lovely photos, Linda, and I am SO glad that warm weather is here. It has been long in coming, but finally this week we seem to have it. Tomorrow and Sunday are supposed to be beautiful! I’m having a sushi picnic with a friend tomorrow just to enjoy the sunshine and warmth.

Good luck with all of your tasks that you need to accomplish. 🙂

  5. Had a great time hanging out with you today… thanks for coming all the way “up here”. Can’t wait to see your photos from today (and my own… haven’t looked at them yet!)

  6. Moving is a lot of work, but at least you’ll be cleaning up and getting rid of a lot of stuff. It’s strange how “stuff” just seems to accumulate, isn’t it?

There’s an award for you on my blog – go check it out! xo

  7. Maybe one day I can see all of those beautiful places in your photos, but for now I can dream! Moving is a good way of getting rid of things, however, when we sold my house we had two weeks to move so I didn’t have much of a chance to go through things. When we came here we put everything into the shed, which just now finally got cleared out! I guess I didn’t need all of that “stuff”, so now I get a garden house from the shed!! If you get a chance stop by as I am having a giveaway!
    take Care!

  8. Linda – you better move all those Paintings you “found” in that museum in Monmartre!

I heard there has been a big theift there. Do you know the name of the museum for our papers never said – just that mucho $$ paintings have been nicked!
I hope you have a easy fuss free move!
    More photos please! 🙂

  9. I love the “tunnel effect” with the photos. I cannot even think about moving. Makes the head hurt. I do like the idea of throwing out and getting rid of things….just not having to move to do it. You’re so organized, you’ll get it all done and with time to be out and about. Did you get to see Lisa’s new apartment? Sounds really nice.
