Some yellow objects (some in tones of gold) that I saw in one day in Paris.

I can’t afford these particular glasses but I’m going to try some on and see how they look on my face. Round is in right now.

I haven’t seen many yellow bicycles in my day but suddenly saw one while on a mission to photograph yellow objects.

Yellow tiles in the mosaic floor of Passage Vivienne with a nice pop of orange from the twirly jig (is that’s the correct name?)

I loved the shape of these lights seen on a theatre behind Palais Royal.

Not yellow but gold. I thought this coffee dispenser looked like a face.

Good prices for happy hour. It’s kind of hard to find happy hour in a lot of places but it’s starting to become more common.

Kind of greenish yellow. I like going into this store off of Rue de Buci and look at pens, my particular passion.

You see red all over Paris, just about any place you look.

Red geraniums of course. They are the flowers you see the most in Paris windows.

Cheerful red tables and chairs to temp you for a meal.

I love that red couch at the table.

Hearts are always red.

Some more red tables and chairs-these on Rue de Buci.

And some red sweet peas. You don’t see these for sale very often.

I decided to see how many things of one color I could find to photograph. Once you pick a color you see it all over the place.

An English men’s store. I don’t know how they came up with this name.

Lavender but works for me.

Pink stockings. These really caught my eye.

A pink umbrella in front of Fauchon’s with la Madeleine in the background.

Pink flowers behind some iron fencing.

I certainly wouldn’t mind having this watch by Dior. It comes with white diamonds too.

Again, not pink but the color against the black really stands out.

At Gare de Lyon, up above the railroad tracks, is a really wonderful restaurant called le Train Bleu. Entering you find yourself back in time wondering what it was like to sit here in your travel clothes looking at the paintings above, showing the destinations trains traveled to from this train station. And it hasn’t changed. Trains here head south. We used to take the TGV from here to get to Aix. It’s worth it, though, to take the time to look at le Train Bleu or even have a drink if you have the time.

The entrance up the stairs above the tracks.

A look at the action down below.

A hall leading off the main room.

The resident cat. I’ve seen him before, usually asleep on one of the chairs. He was prowling around and I think his sleeping place had been taken.

A look at just one of the many paintings on the wall.

I especially liked this one in a dome with the people looking down at us.

I was in the neighborhood of the Moulin Rouge, the famous cabaret in Montmartre and took a few photos.

Here it is. I’ve never been to a show there. I have the feeling it would be kind of tacky but many people go and enjoy it.

Up the street is a store selling souvenir items with a windmill lit up from behind on the facade.

Hmm. A lamp in the window. Not my style.

This flower arrangement was in a hotel lobby not too far away which I liked. Very minimal.

I was in the area of the Petit Palais with the Grand Palais right across the street with a friend the other day and we decided to go inside for a look especially since it is a free entry. It had some very good Impressionist art and I especially liked some furniture and jewelry done by Guimard, that Art Deco genius. I couldn’t take any photos though so just had to settle for the exterior.

The front entrance. It was built in 1900 for an Industrial Fair.

This is outside in the splendid garden.

Looping garlands of gold.

And a closeup.
