Moulin Rouge

I was in the neighborhood of the Moulin Rouge, the famous cabaret in Montmartre and took a few photos.

Here it is. I’ve never been to a show there. I have the feeling it would be kind of tacky but many people go and enjoy it.

Up the street is a store selling souvenir items with a windmill lit up from behind on the facade.

Hmm. A lamp in the window. Not my style.

This flower arrangement was in a hotel lobby not too far away which I liked. Very minimal.

  1. I think it would be great to go see a cabaret show! I love the rustic look:)…and those flowers ARE pretty, but I am partial to lavender (scent, color, flower, etc.).

  2. Not sure if it’s my kind of thing either but if I ever make it to France, I think I’d go just for the experience. Nice to stop by after being away for so long 🙂

  3. That lamp reminds me of the one in the movie “A Christmas Story”.

I’d love to go to the Moulin Rouge area and check out the shows. Tacky can be fun!

  4. I’m not sure why we have never been to a show at the Moulin Rouge. It must be a hoot if you go expecting it to be re-creation of the original rather than something modern. I love those scene from the movie Moulin Rouge with Nicole Kidman. The flower arrangements are exquisite.

  5. I love the Moulin Rouge. I think it’s the best time I had in Paris. From beginning to end there is non-stop entertainment. It’s a bit snug in there but heaps of fun.
