A few unrelated photos taken here and there in Paris.

This lady’s red dress really caught my eye in the green of Luxemburg Garden.

I was standing on a little side street waiting for someone when I happened to see this interesting sculpture on the building across the way. Art deco I’m thinking with flowers and leaves all over.

This is the first time I’ve also seen roots.

I think this was one of the bakers at Paul’s on Rue de Buci since he is dressed all in white. I thought his hat looked especially cool, not to mention that scarf just in case it got cool while he was outside having his cigarette.

I don’t know much about interior design except that I’m not very good at it and that my daughter in law is-very good. She just moved into a new place and I took a few photos the last time I was there.

The entry hall-look at those great stained glass windows.

Not your usual lighting.

She’s starting to use some of that distressed look here and there.

Chair in her daughter’s room.

A corner in her bedroom.

The tile in her son’s bathroom-pacman ghost.

Her son has a shark model hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom.

And I loved this lamp.

There’s always something new in Paris. I just found out about this crepe place which is Japanese and dropped in to try one in the Marais neighborhood.

The exterior with a heart shaped window.

Just like at some Japanese restaurants, they have plastic models of some of the crepes made there.

The interior is like a little girl’s bedroom. Very sweet and pink.

I guess guys would venture in here if they could quickly leave.

One being made.

The finished product.

I recently made a quick trip to Lugano, Switzerland where my son and his family lives and I saw some new areas.

We took a gondola up a mountain for the kids to do various rides and were sharing the mountains with cows which were so used to people that you could pet them if you wanted.

We visited Bellanzona with three castles and a lovely old section of town.

Loved this balcony with flowers.

We took an elevator up a mountain to visit one of the castles there.

The next day we drove up to this beautiful area with the double humped bridge which wasn’t Roman for a change but old nontheless.

Here it is from below. People actually jumped off of it. I’m not afraid of heights and didn’t have a bathing suit but I think the temperature of the water would have stopped me.

The water had worn an open tunnel into the rocks at several places which was very fun for the kids to play in. They spent hours getting rocks trying to make a dam.

A look at the clear water and a smooth rock.

A quick trip was also made to Como. We did a trip on a boat to look around. I was a bit disappointed in Lake Como not just because I didn’t spot George Clooney, but it was just so huge it was hard to see much. There were some beautiful places on the shore line. I’ll have to check it out again when I have more time.

Paris is loaded with architecture that is stunning. I found this building just across the street of my daughter in law’s new place. It was once a well known house of prostitution.

Love this balcony.

A closeup of one of the ladies on the balcony.

And look at this! Some art deco flowers.

A little closer.

And look at this balcony! Incredible, huh?

Sometimes after I make a video and try to transfer it to my website, it just doesn’t work via YouTube. That’s the case here. I don’t have one of those little instant things to see it here. You’ll have to cut and paste, but if you do, you will see a video of Picpus Cemetery which is near our apartment.
