Fashion Show

I’ve never been to a fashion show before but I always thought it would be fun. My daughter in law, the designer for Lollipops, recently had one. Along with purses, shoes and other accessories, she is now doing some clothing. Since Maurice is her father we got an invitation and got to go. The show took place in her business offices which are done really well and here’s what we saw:

The exterior with a pink, not red, runner.

I’ve long passed the age-and size-where I could wear something like this but I thought it was cute.

There were cute little decorated corners here and there.

One of the models sat in a tub for a while after doing the “runway”.

I’m not sure if this tutu was part of the clothing line but the tshirt was. It’s hard to tell in the photo but the model had her head shaved and her arms were covered with tatoos.

  1. How adorable! I love the exterior of the shop as well as the whimsical presentations. I’m sure that the fashion world will be hearing a lot more from her in the future.

  2. I am going to have to visit that shop on my next trip to Paris. Is this the same stylish daughter-in-law that has that cool apartment?
I once went to a Chacock fashion show in a fancy hotel near the Louvre. My brother-in-law had a girl friend that was a top model. It was very very chic and I felt frumpy…

  3. I have been reading articles about NY Fashion week, with designers from all over, which just started. All the fashion writers point out how heavily influenced the designers have been by Duchess Catherine/aka Kate. From the photos I have seen, much of the clothing is classier than in prior years. One writer called her “the anti-Kardashian.” That really made me laugh!

  4. I found out about Lollipops through your blogging about it some time back. Checked it out and eventually bought one of their purses. Tres chic. But to go to a show . . . what fun.
