Findings at the Louvre

We (my son’s family and I) were near the Louvre Museum and decided to drop in. We thought, this being August, it wouldn’t be crowded. We were wrong but braved the crowds and wandered through the Egyptian and Greek wings.

This artist was doing a chalk drawing on the pavement across the street from the Louvre.

A glimpse of the exterior through the pyramid in the lobby.

This unexpected art was on the ceiling in one room showing ancient Greek artifacts.

A view of the pyramid from one of the windows. You can see the ferris wheel in the Tuleries too.

It was fun to see that the ancient Egyptians used dice just like the ones my dil had in her purse.

  1. I just love that museum! But the guy doing the chalk painting would steel the show for me. I love those street artists and how they are so open with their work – creating for hours to know that it will be gone in a blink of an eye.
