The Toadstools

Outside of Kanab, Utah, and a short walk up a dry creek bed heading away from the highway, is an area called The Toadstools.

This is the first glimpse you get of the toadstool area.

And this.

Isn’t this amazing. I wondered how long it would take for the column to collapse. The whole area of Zion and Bryce Canyon is made up of layers deposited over millions of years and then uncovered though rain and wind revealing all of the various layers and leaving stranges shapes here and there on top of columns.
