At Night

Here we are in the last day of 2012. It certainly went by quickly for me. I have to go back and look at my blog to see exactly all that I did as I sometimes think an event was this year but it turns out to be the year before. A sign of aging? Could be, or just my normal condition.
I’m not making any resolutions for the new year. I read of someone who just made intentions which are a little easier to bear if they don’t get done. I have no burning desires or wishes, nothing major that I want to accomplish. I want to stay healthy and in good shape and I want to travel as much as I can. That’s it. I wish for all of my readers-and thank you so much for coming here through 2012-a healthy and happy 2013. I’m looking forward to it. (Comments still closed. I’m not sure if they will ever get fixed.)

Last Sunday night-why is it always when most stores are closed?-I discovered we were out of milk so set out to find one of the small grocery stores that stay open with their inflated prices on Sunday. It was just five o’clock but it was dark and the lights had come on. I love to look up and see into windows then. I mostly got photos of doors, though, with the light on behind them.

Isn’t this pretty? It doesn’t look nearly as good during the day.

Lovely window up above.

I like this door too which looks much more magical at night.

And, finally, the courtyard of our apartment building, with it’s “Narnia” light aglow to welcome you.
