My daughter in law and five of my grandchildren were in Provence this last week. Not only did I want to see them again, I also wanted to be in Provence again. There’s just no place like it from the blue skies and fields of lavender to the markets. I just love it.
Taken from inside the car, plane trees lined up along each side of the road are a common sight.
Finding a restaurant with seating outside and lots of shade is part of being there.
For lunch one day we bought two of these chickens and a big container of potatoes. It was a great meal and the boys scarfed it down.
Cherries for sale. We were in a camp ground right outside of Forcalquier which has the oldest and largest market on Monday in Provence. I’m so glad we were in Provence during cherry season, one of my favorite fruits.
Hats for sale. You need one for protection from the sun if you haven’t brought one with you.
I love this pottery shop in Forcalquier. It’s right up the hill to the right of the main church in town. Beautiful things.
A nice display outside the shop.
