Winter Beauty

I may not be a huge fan of skiing anymore but I sure am enjoying the awesome beauty of fresh snow, especially when the sun comes out. We didn’t ski yesterday but took a shuttle up to a very small viilage called Haut de Champagny.

A tower of ice to climb-for those who like this sort of thing.

Deep snow on a fence.

We had a very good lunch at the Canada Refuge-didn’t ask about the name-which included this side of crozet, a type of pasta in a great sauce, a regional specialty.

  1. Glad to hear you’ve had a day off from skiing – how nice to be able to explore little villages and have nice lunches rather than be freezing on the slopes. I was impressed that you had committed to the ski holiday, as I too haven’t skied in years, and I expect my legs would be like jello after one day on the slopes.
