Around Place des Vosges

I think Place des Vosges, in the Marais, is one of the prettiest squares in Paris. It was built starting in 1605 to give you an idea of its age.

The lovely walk outside the square.

The view within the square. You can see much more in Winter when the trees are bare.

Not your usual grafitti but sort of interesting.

I was meeting a friend in the area for lunch and came upon this place, a book store, with a little cafe.

We had Thai soup which was really good.

With showers off and on in Paris, you often get sun hitting buildings with dark clouds still in the sky.
