Santa Monica

As my friend had to work some of the time I was here, I got out each day to explore. One day I took an Uber-no way do I want to drive in the crazy LA traffic-to Santa Monica, saw a movie and walked around. I made a stop in a McDonalds for a drink where there was a lady having an interesting conversation with herself, a few homeless looking people and I even met a French couple on their first day in LA. I was only one of four people in the movie theatre and the guy closest to me suddenly yelled at the top of his lungs telling a guy below us to turn off his cell phone. Luckily, the rest of the movie was drama free in the audience.

A view from above of the famous Santa Monica Pier. Lots of movies and TV shows are filmed around this area. None while I was there though.

The entry.

Beach with the mountains in the distance.

Where Route 66 ends. Many tourists had their photos taken in front of it.

The ferris wheel with the roller coaster rail in front.

  1. Wow! I’ve spent many an hour in Santa Monica but never had a movie experience with a guy yelling out like that. Come to think of it, I never went to the movie in S.M.
