Here is a picture of the market Maurice and I went to in Place d'Aligre. Lots of vegetables and flowers. It's a wonderful way to shop for your dinner. There weren't too many fruits, yet, but in a month or so, there should be tons, especially cherries. There were mountains of strawberries here grown in Spain, but Maurice said they were too large. The little ones which will be from France are sweeter. There was also a little indoor market where we bought cheese and fish.

After shopping, we stopped at a little place for a glass of wine and a light lunch. It was really small and funky, probably the building is hundreds of years old. There were huges barrels of wine by the door and people would come in with empty bottles to be filled there. I've read they do the same thing in the country. It was neat to see. We bought a bottle and had it filled, too. It turned out to be great wine.
