Another snow for Paris, today. There were flakes off and on for the last few days, but today it is coming down pretty heavy. There was a metro strike so I didn't want to get stuck somewhere so I just walked to the Chateau Vincennes and took some pictures.

This is a green bench but it looks black in this photo

This week the Chinese New Year is celebrated, the year of the goat. I went last year and loved the color so made sure I went again this year. It had snowed yesterday and, although the sky was gray, it had warmed up to the 40's and all of the snow from yesterday was melted. It did start raining a little before it was all over. The bright colors of the costumes of those in the parade brightened up the day.

This weekend Maurice and I went to the march for peace here in Paris. It was very peaceful and it wasn't anti-American, just anti-Bush. I'm glad we did something to say our part.

We made a quick one day trip to the Atlantic coast to visit a little town called Honfleur. It is a place sort of lost in time with a small harbor lined with narrow buildings and a few narrow streets. It only took a couple of hours to get there. There is such a lot of variety to be found in France. It was a beautiful sunny day and we also went to Deauville and walked along the beach and picked up sea shells.
