I am not one of those people that likes heat, even dry heat as they call it here. However, this being what they call the “monsoon” season, there is humidity. That makes it hard for me to get out and do my walk. When I open the door at dawn and it is at least 80 degrees, it sort of kills any desire to get out so, on the advice of a friend, I decided to try a shopping mall not too far away for walking. It is called Fashion Square and is one of those upscale malls and while it isn’t very cool, it beats 80 degrees. It opens at 6 AM although all of the stores are closed and you will find cleaning ladies polishing the glass and brass, a security guard and ten or so people like me walking. Looking in the windows as I chug along is interesting and if a store only has its metal grates down, cold air rushes out which feels great but makes me wonder what their electric bill runs.
You can see here the clouds one evening after a thunder storm.
You can see what a pretty mall it is, especially when it is empty.
This is the entry ramp in front of Neiman Marcus which sort of looks like a space ship, or a portal.
I saw these two later in the day when I went to shop. It is some sort of virtual reality set up and the machine they were sitting in moved.
