It isn’t really winter yet but there still is that feel of a winter sun on a cold day and it is always a pleasure to see it when the weather has mostly been gray and there hasn’t been a hint of blue sky anywhere.

Some sun shining on a light in Place des Vosges.

A view through a stained glass form in the Marais.

These gold tipped spears in Palais Royal look so much better when they glisten in the sun.

A view I always love-two rows of trees in a Paris garden done in that military fashion you always see there.

Wonderful cropping here. The winter light seems particularly muscular in these.

Once again, your wonderful pictures are exciting me for our May trip. We are spending 8 days in the Marais in an apartment we are renting.

All stupendous, especially the bottom one. Great eye, Linda!

Love the photos with the bit of sunlight peeking through.
The stone glass form in the second picture- is the from Hotel de Suly? (Probably not the correct spelling.) I think we visited there on our tour.
It’s really cold and raining in LA this week and lots of snow in the mountains.

Again, Linda, wonderful photos! I especially like the last one, looking up through the trees! I hope it stays mild there!

Just wonderful images Linda - make me want to be back in Paris. Was there in Winter once and it was beautiful. However, off to NYC on Friday for a weekend of Christmas sights and sounds (taking a granddaughter (12) who hasn’t been before). May be bad weather though so packing fleece tops, tall boots and warm hats!!
The very best of Christmas wishes to you and Maurice - and may the New Year be the best ever. Bob and I feel so fortunate to have met you this year and enjoyed your company so much that lovely day in Lourmarin.
Hugs - Mary.
