Travel

I have so many travel photos and I have over 25,000 photos on my iPhone so I can keep going for a while.

Japan was really special.
I saw this in a small village near Pamplona near the time of the running of the bulls. They had live bulls running too. I have to say that I felt sorry for the bulls as they seemed terrified rather than fierce.
Beautiful glass art by Chihuly in Seattle.
The Vessel in NYC.
The Eye lit up in London.

The Vessel

I’ve been seeing Instagram photos of a new architectural installation not too far from the High Line in New York City so we went to have a look.

It was done in an attempt to redevelop the Hudson Yards where trains once ran. Tickets are free but have to be booked two weeks in advance. We took a chance to see if we could get in and couldn’t for free but discovered we could if we bought a ticket which we did and quickly entered.
From below. As you can see, it is covered in copper.
Looking down from the top. It’s 16 stories high with 154 flights of stairs, 2,500 steps and has 80 landings to stand on. We took the very slow elevator to go up and walked down.
You can see the Hudson River in the distance plus the sun came out!
How it looked as we walked away for a short walk on the High Line.
