Victoria and Albert Museum

Visiting the Victoria and Albert Museum is a must.

The modern glass sculpture by Chihuly in the main lobby.
We set out to find the famous ceramic staircase. At one time the whole existing museum at the time was going to be totally done this way but it proved to be too expensive.
Moldings made of famous structures.
Another interesting room.
Looking up in the cafe.
Afterwards we walked over to see the Albert Memorial.
And passed the becoming rare phone booth. Most don’t work, some have wifi, many have graffiti.
Isn’t this a great little corner for drinks or a meal?

Victoria and Albert

I made a quick trip to the Victoria and Albert Museum which happens to be free. It was opened by Queen Victoria, thus the name. It’s a

museum showing all sorts of art, such as glass and ironwork along with clothing and furniture. It’s very well done and huge. I only saw a part of it but gave it my best.

A look at the area for displaying clothing.

I assume they didn’t do much sitting when wearing a dress like this.

A pretty wedding dress and veil.

A painting of Victoria and Albert depicting the opening of the museum.

This was once in a church and was removed when it went out of fashion.

There is modern art too, like this hand blown glass chandilier.
